Top 10 things to do on a Rainy Day
Rainy days and Mondays always get me down. That's what Karen Carpenter sang. Here are some ideas for a rainy day and nowhere to go.
10. Clean your house from top to bottom. You’re stuck inside. Why not make your home a haven. Clean those corners that have never seen a disinfectant before.
9. Cook. Dust off that cookbook that you really never have time to use because your days are so hectic. Make a deliciously sinful dessert.
8. Eat. After all that cooking and cleaning, put your feet up and taste the fruit of your labor.
7. Purge. Get rid of things that are taking up unnecessary space. Your trash may be someone else’s treasure.
6. Catch up on your DVR. I’m sure you have a DVR full of shows you’ve recorded. A rainy day is a great opportunity to play catch up. You might get through an entire season in one day!
5. Read a book/magazine. Turn everything off and just be one with the literature.
4. Play dress up. There are probably some things in your closet that you haven’t worn in a while. Try them on and see if they still fit. They may no longer be in style. This goes along with #7.
3. Go through your phone book and call people you’ve been “meaning” to call. Rainy days are God’s way of slowing us down. Reconnect with an old friend or auntie you haven’t spoken to in a long time.
2. Make a game plan. When was the last time you wrote down your goals? Maybe it’s time to tweak your goals. Focus on yourself and your future while you have some downtime. We tend to get caught up in the rat race without noticing life passing us by.
1. NOTHING. Put your feet up and catch up on some much needed rest. All that other stuff I just talked about will be there. :-)
