I love how my kids can call on me for hours upon hours for every little thing they need. Mommy, can I have some juice? Mommy, where's my baseball glove? Mommy, I'm hungry. Mommy can you tie my shoe. Mommy, I have to boo boo. It's even better when all three of them are calling on me at the exact same time. The 6 year old wants me double tie his laces, the 4 year old says her socks are uncomfortable, and the 8 month old is holding on tight to my calves with his head between my legs making swishy sounds with his mouth.
The beauty of it all is that they usually bypass daddy in the process. It doesn't matter what I'm doing or where I am they come for me first. I could be in the shower while daddy has his feet propped up and they will come look for ME in order to put a straw in their Capri Sun. I could come home with an arm full of groceries, sweat dripping down my face and my pants hanging on to my waist by a thread. They will come to me, at the same time, to solve their problems. Yet daddy is right there in the house flipping through a newspaper. It is never ending. Gotta love mom.
